1. Who we are

SavardeIT TaxOptimizer (SavardeIT TaxOptimizer) is a tax-calculation tool operated by Shubhangi Savardekar. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and how it is protected.

2. Information we collect

When you log in / sign up: your mobile number, verified via a one-time SMS code (OTP) through Firebase Phone Authentication. We do not collect or store any password.

When you use the tax calculator: the Form 16 PDF you upload, and the salary/deduction figures extracted from it (or entered manually) for the sole purpose of computing your Old vs New regime comparison. This data is processed to generate your result and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing.

Automatically, when you browse the site: basic analytics — page visited, referrer, device type and approximate traffic source — to help us understand which content is useful. This does not include your name or Form 16 data.

When you contact us: the name, email, phone number and message you submit through our Contact Us form.

3. How we use your information

• To let you log in without a password and access your tax calculator.
• To read your Form 16 and calculate your tax liability/refund under both regimes.
• To respond to queries submitted via the Contact Us form.
• To improve the site based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.

4. Third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run this service:

• Firebase (Google) — for mobile OTP verification during login/sign-up.
• An AI/document-processing service — to read and extract figures from your uploaded Form 16 PDF.

These providers only receive the minimum data needed to perform their specific function and are bound by their own privacy and security terms.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secured servers. Access to the admin area is password-protected and restricted to authorised personnel only. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (including your mobile number and any uploaded Form 16 data) at any time by writing to us — see the Contact Us page. You may also disable/delete your mobile account by contacting us.

7. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
